We started getting things ready to leave home on Saturday morning, August 4, 2012, with plans to leave early Sunday for the 10 hour drive to Branson, Mo. However, by noon it was looking like we would be ready by mid-afternoon.
Sure enough we were able to leave about 2pm. We fueled up at the Flying J in Shreveport, then on north to Texarkana where we got on I-30. A few miles south of Little Rock we spent the night in a rest area with the 18 wheelers.
We left the rest area fairly early and were on our way to Branson. We actually are staying in Hollister, which is right across a river from Downtown Branson. Donna talked to Molly a couple of times on the way, and as we pulled in Molly was outside waving at us.
After hello's and hugs all around with Bob & Molly, as well as Wallace & Wanda, we got parked in a long pull-thru site. We are at an Escapee park named Turkey Creek. The park has a lot of trees and we can't get satellite TV, but they do have Free Cable with 60 or more channels. Irregardless, I have watched very little TV.
I know I have been very lax about writing a blog. Even got reminded by daughter-in-law, Kim, earlier today. I will try to do better. It seems I don't even remember to take my camera when we are out doing things, or even just sitting around visiting.
I will try to spend some time in the next few days getting things up to date. I hope I can do that and get some pictures also.
Be Back Soon !
Glad to see you are posting again - Looking forward to seeing you both very soon in the meantime have fun!! Barb & Bob
