From Turquoise Trail RV, Cedar Crest, NM
Yes, I am way behind on my blog. So I will try to do a little catching up. It seemed like the entire week in Santa Fe we had to endure very windy conditions and even some very cold evenings and nights, with snow flurries.
One day we took a drive up the 'High Road' on the way to Taos. On the way we visited the Santuario de Chamayo chapel, which was quite interesting.
While in Taos we visited the town Plaza, browsing through many shops featuring Indian jewelry, artifacts, art, and sculptures.
We also had lunch at the Alley Cafe where Donna had their Blue Cheese / Onion Ring Burger.. it was HUGE !!
Another day we visited the town of Los Alamos, where in the 1940's the Atomic Bomb was invented.
We visited the museum, where a mock-up of the two bombs that were dropped on Japam were on display. Shown below is Fat Boy.
One night we had dinner with our RV friends, Paul and Mary, whom we have been acquainted with through our blogs, but just now met them in person.
We had a great dinner at The Blue Corn Grill and Brewery, and really enjoyed getting to know them better.
After leaving Santa Fe on Monday, the 2nd of May, we plan to spend 5 or so days in Albuquerque.
