We are leaving Albuquerque today, headed on further west to Cottonwood, AZ, where we will spend a few days with our friends, Bob and Molly. But first I wanted to talk a little about a couple of things in Albuquerque that are a 'Must See' as far as we are concerned.
First is 'Old Town Albuquerque'. We went there a couple of time, having lunch while there on one occasion. The area surrounds a really nice plaza with an old church on one side, and shops and restaurants on the other three sides and a block or so down the side streets.

I really failed to take many photos in Old Town, but it is definitely a place to go.
The other 'Must See' is the Indian Cultural Museum, a beautiful facility operated by the Tribal Council of the 19 Pueblos (tribes) in and around Albuquerque.
There are a lot of exhibits and various artwork as well as an excellent museum showing artifacts from the various pueblos. We were not allow to photograph any of the museum area.
We timed our visit so that we would be present for a Dance Demonstration by one of the pueblos.
The first was the 'Dance of the Buffalo"
The second dance was the 'Dance of the Eagle'
There were a number of vendors there from various tribes selling their hand-made items at fairly reasonable prices. In fact, Donna bought an ankle bracelet made with silver and various stones.
Next post will be from the Thousand Trails Preserve in Cottonwood, AZ.
