From Elkhart Campground, Elkhart, In
First of all we wish everyone a Happy Labor Day.. and yes, I am way behind on updating this meager blog. My apologies to my thousands of readers.. -:)
The first day started with the registration table when Nick is getting help from 'Froggi' Donna and a couple of other ladies.
Most of the vendors had already gotten setup and were doing a brisk business. This guy had every kind of flag imaginable.
Bill and Janice Adams, owners of Internet Anywhere, Datastorm dealers had a booth in the vendor area and fixed the damage to our Datastorm from the tornado last December. Thanks, guys.. great job.
Monday afternoon was the welcome event with Nick as Master of Ceremonies.
Donna and Dortha watching Nick and Paul catches me with the camera.
After a lot of seminars on Tuesday, the group gathered back up in the big tent for a little sample of just what these 'mature' adults do at an RV Rally.
First Dennis warmed up the crowd in his official rally attire.
Then Nick began introduction of the contestants in the Hossier Honey Beauty Pageant. Our friend Mac was a little late in getting dressed but competed anyway..
Jim with Geeks on Tour seems to be enjoying this just a little too much... (And he was the eventual winner.)
And my buddy, Chuck, just had it all together with his great wig.
The rally was very well attended with over 165 rigs and a good mix of vendors. Some very good seminars were available and all seemed to be well attended. On Friday, after the closing ceremonies Thursday night, about 50 of the attendees took a tour of the Heartland trailer factory.
Saturday about 20 or us drove over to Goshen to meet Bob and Molly for breakfast at Lux. Bob and Molly are at the fairgrounds preparing for the Escapade Rally that starts on the 12th of September. Sorry no camera, no pictures.
Sunday morning Donna and I met Bob and Molly for breakfast at Bravo's in Oscelo and had a great visit while enjoyed a great breakfast at this small little place. Again no camera, no pictures.
Sunday afternoon four couples of us headed over to the Anglers Inn at Lunkers for their all you can eat Baby Back Ribs, which were excellent.
We have had several Hand & Foot games and the guys have won just about ALL of them. Guess its time for the gals to get cracking and win a few.
